Don't want to be a part of a budget group? Our operator has Landrover Discovery four wheel drive hire with all camping equipment, permits and barge crossings from $325.00 per person or Landrover Defenders from $350.00 per person.
If you don't want to be packed into a vehicle with 9 other people, if you don't want to be driving a small crowded Suzuki and need a vehicle with room, power and reliability then our operator has Landrovers at very realistic prices.
These 3 Day 2 Night camping safaris depart from our operators depot on any day of the week. All your camping gear is supplied with the exception of sleeping bags as many people bring their own. Sleeping bags can be hired for $12.00 for the trip duration which basically covers the cleaning of the bag after every use.
Your driver must be over 21 years of age and hold a current drivers license. An insurance excess of $2,000 applies and this is pre authorised on your credit card so the card must have those funds available. This is cancelled when you bring the vehicle back undamaged.
You should arrive in Hervey Bay the day before departure and do some food shopping for your trip. A suggested shopping list is supplied.
By law you must have a compulsory briefing before taking delivery of the vehicle. This is usually conducted at 6.00am at our operators depot. You will be given driving tips, maps and a suggested itinerary. Tips on driving in sand and advice on driving laws and tips on Fraser Island.
If you need a courtesy pick up from your Hervey Bay accommodation our operator will pick you up with prior arrangement. If you are driving to Hervey Bay in a car you can leave your car at our operators depot securely locked up while you are on Fraser Island.
