Whitsundays and Fraser Island Package Deals
Operated by one of the best hostels in Hervey Bay to combine with your sailing trip. The Hostel is well situated at Torquay, a beachside suburb in Hervey Bay. The hostel is just over the road from the beach and is well fitted out with a bar, internet room, a pool and spa with meals being offered most nights of the week or if you prefer a fully fitted kitchen for your use. People have been happy with the hostels facilities with no negative feedback received to date.
The hostel will team you up with other like minded young travelers for a 3 day 2 night 4WD tagalong camping safari to World Heritage listed Fraser Island.
You must be at the hostel for a compulsory briefing and to meet the other members of your group at 6.00pm the day before departure.
Your group will elect a driver and you will all go food shopping to get your food for the trip. At the briefing you will be given tips and safety instructions. Your insurance conditions will be explained and an itinerary will be suggested so you know where you are going on your Fraser Island trip. A qualified guide will be driving the lead vehicle.
All camping gear is supplied and permits and vehicular barge crossing fees are included in the price.
Our Sailing and Fraser Island package price includes one night either side of your trip at the hostel in either a dormitory for singles or for couples at the double rate in a private double room with shared shower and toilet facilities.
Your vehicle for larger groups is a Toyota Landcruiser or Troop Carrier or a Suzuki Jimney depending on numbers of the group.
Sleeping bags are not included in the price as many people bring their own. You can hire a sleeping bag from the hostel for a modest fee of $5.00 with a $5.00 deposit. Everyone in the group puts in for fuel $3.00 - $5.00 per person.
The Hostel has a good reputation and is one of the best in Hervey Bay. The price has no hidden extra costs that you will find with other hostel based group 4WD safaris.
Should you prefer to have a self drive with only yourselves in a vehicle please email us for an upgraded quote. If you would prefer to be on a guided tour with resort accommodation we are also able to upgrade your package to suit you.
