Whitsundays Local Fees & Stinger Suit Hire
Prices shown on this web site are all inclusive prices that include all extra costs. There are no hidden extras. The below charges are included in any quote.
Local fees must be paid by everyone on any boat you travel on. Local fees are comprised of an Environmental charge, marina fees, fuel levy, national park fees and a fuel levy. Operators include these charges in their prices.
Stinger Suit Hire
Tropical Queensland is home to some varieties of venemous jellyfish. For this reason operators insist passengers hire and wear what is called a "Stinger Suit" when entering the water.
A "Stinger Suit" is a light lycra suit that protects the wearer from any encounter with one of these jellyfish. Incidents are rare when the amount of people who annually come to the Whitsundays is taken into consideration.
The cost of stinger suit hire varies from operator to operator with the cost being included in any quote you receive.
